SMS Messaging Policy & Consent

Last updated: November 2, 2026

SnowServ LLC, operating as SnowServ, is an on-demand snow removal service in Yonkers, New York. This page describes exactly how we obtain consent to send text messages, what those messages contain, and how to stop them.

1. How consent is obtained

Consent is collected on the SnowServ account sign-up form at app.snowserv.app, which is the only way to create a customer or contractor account. The form requires you to enter your own mobile number, and displays the following notice directly above the Create Account button, before you submit it:

Shown on the sign-up form, above Create Account

“By creating an account, you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and to receive job and account updates by text message. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out.”

We obtain consent only from the person who enters their own mobile number while creating their own account. SnowServ does not buy, rent, or import phone number lists, and we send no messages to anyone who has not created a SnowServ account.

2. What we send

Operational messages only. We send no marketing or promotional text messages.

  • To customers who placed an order — a provider has accepted your job and is on the way; work has started; the job is complete; or we could not find a provider and released the authorization hold on your card.
  • To contractors who signed up to perform jobs — a storm is forecast and jobs are expected; a job has been assigned to you; your payout setup is incomplete, so your account cannot be assigned work.

Example: “SnowServ: A provider has accepted your job #1494 and is on the way. Track it at app.snowserv.app”

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies with your activity. Most people receive messages only when they have an active order, or — for contractors — when snow is forecast. There is no recurring schedule and no bulk send.

4. Rates

Message and data rates may apply. SnowServ does not charge for text messages; any charges come from your own mobile carrier under your plan.

5. How to stop messages, and how to get help

  • Reply STOP to any message to stop all text messages from SnowServ. You will receive one confirmation, and nothing after that.
  • Reply HELP for help, or email support@snowserv.app.
  • Reply START at any time to resume messages.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing anything from SnowServ. You can order snow removal without agreeing to texts; you may simply miss time-sensitive updates about your order.

6. Your information

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your mobile number is used only to send you the SnowServ messages described above. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy; the contractual terms are in our Terms of Service, section 9.
