Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SnowServ ("SnowServ," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile and web applications and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Account details — name, email address, phone number, and whether you are a customer or provider.
  • Service addresses — the property addresses where snow removal is requested.
  • Payment information — card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we retain limited details such as card brand and last four digits and a payment reference.
  • Provider onboarding information (providers only) — driver’s license image, insurance details, vehicle information, and, for payouts, your bank account details and government identifiers (such as SSN or the last four digits) required to verify identity and issue payments and tax forms.
  • Job content — service selections, notes, completion photos, and ratings.
  • Support communications — messages you send to support@snowserv.app.

Information collected automatically:

  • Location — with your permission, providers’ device GPS location (to match nearby jobs) and the geocoded coordinates of a service address (to determine pricing and eligibility).
  • Device & usage — push notification tokens, app interactions, and basic device information needed to operate the Service.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide the Service — create accounts, match customers with providers, dispatch and track jobs, process payments, and issue provider payouts.
  • Send transactional notifications (e.g., job offers, status updates, cancellations).
  • Verify provider identity and eligibility and comply with tax and legal obligations.
  • Provide customer support, maintain safety, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Improve and maintain the Service.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

  • Between customers and providers — to complete a job, a provider receives the service address and, where needed, the customer’s name and phone number; customers see limited provider information. Provider internal notes are never shown to customers.
  • Service providers we rely on:
    • Stripe — payment processing and provider payouts.
    • Supabase — secure database, authentication, and file storage.
    • Google Firebase — push notifications.
    • OpenStreetMap / geocoding & Open-Meteo — maps and weather/snow-depth data used for routing and pricing.
  • Legal — when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your account (see Section 6); some records may be retained where required by law.

5. Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Choices & Rights

  • Access & update — view and edit your name and phone in the app (“My Info”); email support for other changes.
  • Location — you can disable location permissions in your device settings, though some features (matching, pricing) may not work.
  • Notifications — you can turn off push notifications in your device settings.
  • Deletion — request account deletion by emailing support@snowserv.app.
  • Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability). Contact us to exercise them.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
